South Chennai will finally get clean drinking water soon as the Southeast Asia’s largest desalination plant at Perur is getting ready. The ₹5800+ crore 400 Million litres per day project that began in 2023 is currently at 66% progress, will resolve the drinking water needs of the Southern suburbs.
