We should spend money on people need money on education...  

We should spend money on old people living in orphanage

We should spend money on people need food..

Don't give /spend money on unnecessary activities and unnecessary people... think wise... be a human.. treat human as human... 

God  never ever asked lavish celebration or money....  pray god sitting in your house... your prayers will be answered.... you don't need any broker or middle man to submit your prayers to god.... first keep your house vibrated/do poojas on your own in your house with family...you chant on your own in your mother tongue .. that is more important.....then things will improve drastically...  time to change.. do it... you feel more happy....
